Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton Selects O’Brien To Head Monmouth County Board

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton is a faith-inspired social services agency whose mission is to renew lives and restore hope.

In 2008, officials from the nonprofit selected Dennis K. O’Brien, president of Coastal Financial Advisors, Inc., as Chair of the agency’s Monmouth County Board, where he will also represent Monmouth County on the organization’s Board of Trustees.

In Monmouth County, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton provides outpatient substance abuse treatment, transitional housing for homeless youth, case management for at-risk youth, school social services, family reunification services in collaboration with DYFS, adoption/crisis pregnancy counseling, and supports Camp PEAK, an after-school and summer social skills program for children ages 7-12 with behavioral challenges.

In addition to Dennis’ role as Monmouth County Board Chair of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, he has been an active volunteer in numerous community service organizations including Family and Children’s Service, Long Branch, St. Vincent de Paul and St. Catherine’s Church, Farmingdale, and the United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
